WOMEN'S ISSUES
Establish workshops pertaining to issues such as political, health, etc., that have an impact in the women in our community.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Create a program to publicize and increase awareness in the community of the chamber's goals, ogjectives and accomplishments. As well as make the community aware of our members goals, achievements and presence in the Rio Grande Valley.
GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS
Responsible for keeping members informed on topics pertaining to legislative and governmental issues at the city, county, state and national levels.
EVENTS & CULTURAL ISSUES
Responsible for holding special events that will provide the chamber and its members with exposure to the community. Support cultural events that are intrinsic to the Hispanic Market.
SMALL BUSINESS & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Seek opportunities which will assist minority and small businesses in the area of growth and development.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Enhance economic development in the Rio Grande Valley by promoting increased international trade with Mexico and other countries.
MEMBERSHIP
Recruit membership throughout the year and conduct membership drives annualy. Offer ribbon cuttings for grand openings, relocations and other special events that will help the MHCC associates in any way. Be in touch with members of the MHCC to tend to their individual needs and goals for themselves and their businesses.
EDUCATION
Promote and oversee the Student Mentor Program, including the disbursing and awarding of all scholarships. Keep informed of all members of local education issues and programs.
HEALTH ISSUES
Organize and promote several health seminars. Keep members informed on national health issues and their effect on our community.
McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
